General Instructions for Microblading and Powder Brows for 7 days following applications of permanent cosmetics:
- Avoid contact with water
- Do not touch the healing pigmented area with your fingers, they may have bacteria on them and create an infection.
- Lightly wipe the procedure site clean with a damp cloth or cotton pad before applying the aftercare. Always use a clean q-tip for application not your fingertips.
- Apply aftercare given 3 times daily until healed.
- No Make-up, tinting of brows, sun, soap, sauna, jacuzzi, swimming in chlorine pools or in recreational bodies of water, direct contact with animals or gardening for 7-10 days (until the area is completely healed) post procedure and after all touch-ups.
- Wait until 2 weeks before waxing.
- Avoid indoor and outdoor tanning for 14 days.
- Bathing instead of showering is recommended for the first 7-10 days to avoid getting your eyebrows wet.
- Do not rub or traumatize the procedure area while it is healing (pigment may be removed along with crusting tissue)
- Use a proper sunscreen after the procedure area has healed to prevent future fading of pigment.
- Do not use products that contain AHA’s on the procedure area, (Example: Glycolic Lactic Acids) Always check your product labeling! It will fade the pigment.
- Try to sleep on a satin pillowcase while the procedure area is healing.
- If you have any concerns, please notify your physician immediately.
- If you experience any itching, swelling, tenderness, elevated temperature or purulent drainage from the procedure site, contact your physician as the area may be infected and you may need to seek medical care.
- General rule of thumb: keep it dry and clean
- Failure to follow instructions will result in pigment/colour loss!
- All permanent make-up procedures are done in a two-step process, your touch up is very important.
